Righteous Fire Atlas Strategies

Remember the following for 3.29

28 maps were added and 28 removed. Several removed maps are still recommended by every guide on the internet. Ashen Wood (the top Betrayal map), Carcass (the Blight map), Crimson Temple, Racecourse, Defiled Cathedral, Coves, Dry Sea and Wharf. Every map named on this page was checked against that list and survives.

You cannot invest in Atlas Anomalies. They are unaffected by the passive tree and cannot be augmented with fragments. Every atlas instinct says there must be a node for this. There isn't. Run them when they appear and spend your points elsewhere.

Where are you?

Tiers are pinned to what the build actually costs, taken from the FAQ, so you can place yourself by your wallet rather than by feel. Pick one to show only those strategies.

Which should I run?

Ordered by where you are in the league, not by profit per hour. Those numbers move every week and we would be guessing.

Why this works for RF

The start focuses on Jun for EXP + Good items. We take shrines to acclerate our mapping and also for bigger density to synergise with our Hinekora. Later on we add breach which will allow us to craft gear via the Genesis Tree. Breach works very well for this build due to the explode chaining.

What will brick it

  • Rare monsters what spawn from breach can be super rippy, be careful of them and also Vruun the boss who can spawn

Atlas tree, in stages

  1. Obsessed with Vengeance → Supplication → Shaping the Mountains → Shaping the World → Syncretism → Drawn to Power

We start off maximizing our map drop capabilities and layer in Jun and some alters for a small amount of mob quantity in the early game.

  2. Broken Border → Evolving Hives → Massing Forces → Violent Skirmish → Fortified Dominance → Swelling Ranks

Additional shrine chance plus a heavy focus on breach allow us to add more density to our maps giving us more experience for early leveling, map drop potential, and overall currency drop potential.

  3. Enemy at the Gates → Clawed Open → Mounting Modifiers → Fecund Colony → Altered Prophecy → The Light of Dawn → Baptised by Fire → Word of the Exarch

At 120 we complete our breach trees, add some more map drop chance, and we now add in red altars for the final bit of density and juice for this strat.

Why this works for RF

The start focuses on Jun for EXP and good item drops. We take eater altars for quant, and later add Harvest which we can use to make early currency in trade league or craft the Elder helmet or Shaper shield. Another benefit of this strategy is that it's extremely easy to sell the lifeforce.

What will brick it

  • Don't select altar modifiers that lower your resistances below cap or reduce your recovery

Atlas tree, in stages

  1. Kirac + Map Drop Chance, then Jun (Betrayal)

Start by getting your map drop nodes to improve your atlas progression speed, with a bit of Betrayal for the early XP and gear. Then add eater altars for the powerful eldritch currencies and bubblegum currency. Make sure you don't take altar mods that lower your resistances below cap or reduce your recovery.

  2. Add Harvest

We start taking Harvest here since lifeforce is so important for early crafting (especially for your Elder helmet and Shaper shield). If you get eater altars before you do the Harvest in a map, taking quantity is a big increase to lifeforce drops.

  3. Finish the Atlas

Finish the atlas tree by taking all the generic power - quantity, map modifier effect, scarab drops, etc. I'd suggest using scarabs at this point too, if your build can handle the extra-tanky Harvest mobs.

Why this works for RF

Hinekora thrives off pack density triggering explodes, delirium brings the pack size and scaling rewards.

What will brick it

  • Linear maps scale difficulty and rewards.
  • Delirium bosses from juicing can get spicey.

Atlas tree, in stages

  1. Supplication → Mounting Modifiers →That Which You Seek → Shaping the Skies → The Singular Eternity → Fiendish Opulence

Basic map sustain and some early delirium dipping.

  2. Scent of Blood → Torn Veil → Paranoid Fixation → Delusions of Persecution → Compulsive Hoarder

Big delirium push and layering in beyond also adding a touch of quant the tree.

  3. Drawn to Power → Syncretism → Imagined Pursuits → Invasive Adversaries → Eldritch Gaze → The Shadow of Hunger → Multiplying Modifiers

More delirium rewards, layring in shrines and blue altars (can swap to red if preferred), adding pack size for desnity.

Map mods, before anything else

Every strategy on this page inherits this list. Ramako floors monsters at −20% fire resistance, which is why Chieftain has the easiest time with map mods of any RF variant, but none of that saves you from the top four.

No Regeneration

Never run this.

Reduced effect of non-Curse Auras

Never run this. RF is an aura.

Less Recovery

Fine in white maps, not in yellow or red.

− Maximum Elemental Resistance

Runnable but dangerous on any build.

Monsters have 70% chance to avoid Elemental Ailments

Cuts into ignite and your explode chain.

Monsters deal extra damage as Chaos

Only with good chaos resistance.

Area has Consecrated Ground

Skip for Guardians. 6% life regen per second on a Guardian is nuts.

Monsters gain % Life as Energy Shield

Skip for Guardians, for the HP scaling and phases.

Monsters steal your Endurance Charges

Only matters once you anoint for charges.

Reduced Armour and Block Chance

Fine until you go block-based.

What to check before you commit points

Not a list of things to avoid. RF gets to run everything eventually. These are the ones where the order matters, taken from the FAQ’s own answers.

Sanctum

The one real exclusion

The FAQ answers "what league mechanics is RF good at farming" with "literally everything but" a short list, and Sanctum leads it: "pretty rough since we focus on AoE clear + Tanky". Sanctum does not reward either of those things, and no amount of atlas investment changes that.

Legion

Needs 100%+ AoE and 90% ignite chance

Rated "kinda okay" with a specific stat requirement attached, not a vague one: 100%+ increased Area of Effect and around 90% ignite chance. Check those two numbers before committing points. Once you clear the bar, Timeless Conflict removes the timer and Legion becomes one of the densest things you can farm.

Beyond

Only if you are block based

Pohx runs this and likes it, with a warning attached: "it is very rippy. I would make sure you are block based to run it". Treat block as the entry requirement rather than a nice-to-have.

80%+ Delirium and Wave 30 Simulacrum

30+ divines for consistent clears

Not a fit problem, a budget one, and the FAQ puts a number on it. RF does not have the highest damage ceiling, so deep Delirium takes a while. The answer for Simulacrum is blunt: "you can overgear to make it ez".

Ubers and T17 maps

30 to 50+ divines

The genuine ceiling, and it is a Fire Trap and gear problem rather than an atlas one. T17 sits around 30+ divines, Ubers 50+ for consistent clears. Maven specifically is "not actually that bad": bring a flask that removes ignite for the beam.
