Preferred Outcomes
- 125+ to maximum Life
- 5% life on block
Crafting Steps
- 0This craft uses multi-step recombination to combine multiple isolated modifiers onto a single output item. Start by collecting many ilvl86 shaper ezomyte tower shields and rolling them with
Orb of AlterationOrb of AlterationReforges a magic item with new random modifiers. and
Orb of AugmentationOrb of AugmentationAdds a new random modifier to a magic item. for %life on block, 30% reservation efficiency, and your desired third suffix (I suggest PDR, max fire res is also ok). For this craft, prefixes don't matter, but craft mana for lower recombination costs if you can before recombinating.
- 1Recombinate (unpredictable): (1-suffix shield) + (1-suffix shield) for a shield with 2 desired suffixes (prefixes don't matter).
- Repeat this step for a different combination of suffixes so you have 2 shields with 4 total desired suffixes, and at least 1 of each of your 3 desired suffixes.
- 2Recombinate (unpredictable): (2-suffix shield) + (2-suffix shield) for a shield with all 3 desired suffixes (prefixes still don't matter).
- This has a ~33% chance to succeed. If it fails, you can use the output shield for a second attempt, making it pretty efficient.
- 3Use a
Wild Bristle MatronWild Bristle MatronBeastcraft that adds a random crafted meta-modifier. Fill all suffixes and leave a prefix open to force “Suffixes Cannot Be Changed”. to add "suffixes cannot be changed".
- 4Harvest reforge life
- Repeat steps 3-4 until you're satisfied with the max life roll. If you fill prefixes (~10% chance) use the Allflame bench to try and annul any prefix so you can keep going.
- Alternatively, if you want to swap to a true block variant, you can use exalts for max life + %chance to block, but this is significantly more expensive. I'd also suggest using the heat-attuned shield base from Heist.
- 5If your shield has 3-4% life on block, divine it for 5% life on block (optional but highly suggested).
- 6Craft your final mod and use an exalt if there's an empty prefix.
