RF Cogwork Ring — Righteous Fire crafting guide

Note: It is usually most efficient to craft one of these and use the Kalandra's Touch unique ring to "copy" it. Make sure you can fulfill your attribute requirements on other items before crafting this item, since both of your ring slots will be replaced at once.

   Purchase an ilvl84+ cogwork ring with no fractures or influences

   Use Essence of DeliriumEssence of DeliriumA corrupted essence. Adds one modifier from a small pool of powerful effects, varying by item slot. and Orb of AnnulmentOrb of Annulment4cRemoves a random modifier from an item. until you get "+18% to damage over time multiplier" and exactly 3 other modifiers.

   • Ideally you would also have at least one other modifier which would be valuable to sell if fractured, but it usually isn't worth rolling more essences for.

   Use the Allflame bench to improve your odds with a Fracturing OrbFracturing Orb350c to fracture that "+18% to damage over time multiplier" mod.

   • Sulphur costs are very volatile right now. Check before using it to make sure it's cost-effective.

   Use Deafening Essence of AngerDeafening Essence of Anger5cGuarantees a fire modifier. Fire resistance on armour, added fire damage on weapons. until you get any T2+ elemental resistance modifier (which you can harvest swap to fire resistance at the end of the craft).

   Use Orb of AnnulmentOrb of Annulment4cRemoves a random modifier from an item. to remove at least one prefix (if there is 2 of them) and the suffix which is not %fire damage or ele res.

   • If you Orb of AnnulmentOrb of Annulment4cRemoves a random modifier from an item. %fire damage or ele res return to Step 4.

   Craft suffixes cannot be changed and reforge chaos, hoping for T2+.

   • If you don't get a high enough tier you can Orb of AnnulmentOrb of Annulment4cRemoves a random modifier from an item. to try and remove it and try again.
   • Sadly we cannot use Wild Bristle MatronWild Bristle Matron123cBeastcraft that adds a random crafted meta-modifier. Fill all suffixes and leave a prefix open to force “Suffixes Cannot Be Changed”. to do this, since it's only consistent on an item with full suffixes.

   Harvest reforge life.

   • Repeat steps 7-8 until you're satisfied with the max life roll. If you fill prefixes (~10% chance) use the Allflame bench to try and annul any prefix so you can keep going.

   Craft 17% increased Damage.

   Use your preferred catalysts (I'd suggest Resistance if it's needed to cap your chaos resistance, and Life if it isn't).
